During this exclusive summer camp for high school students (Grades 11-13), you will explore a different field each day: Business, Media, Engineering and Computer Science. You will work with our professors on fun group projects and develop practical skills that will give you a head start on your future career. From hands-on learning and engaging activities to networking with like-minded peers, this camp will make your summer unforgettable.

Business Camp

Learn How to Manage a Business Using AI

Participants will dive into the world of AI and Big Data through engaging, hands-on activities that showcase how these technologies are transforming business management. They will explore AI applications in various industries like banking, hospitality, airlines, and manufacturing. You will build machine learning models and compete in an 'AI-powered Business' challenge, creating innovative AI solutions for real business problems.

Learning Outcomes:

• • Understand the role of AI and Big Data in Business Management.
• • Differentiate between Generative AI and Predictive AI.
• • Build hands-on Machine Learning Models to solve business problems using state-of-the-art AI software.

Media Camp

Learn Storytelling and Create a Short Ad

Experience the world of short video creation and micro storytelling. Participants will work in small groups to create 15-20 second advertisements for a given product. Filming will take place around the UOWD campus, including in the Media studio with professional lighting, cameras, and green screen technology. The camp also covers basic video editing skills to polish the final advertisements.

Learning Outcomes:

• • Create a short advertisement for a given product.
• • Understand the importance of storytelling and storyboarding for media making.
• • Learn how to properly frame subjects and products for filming.
• • Implement green screen setup and lighting to shoot a scene.
• • Develop video editing skills using professional software applications, including green screen removal, audio editing, and minimal colour correction.

Computer Science and Engineering Camp

Explore the World of Robotics, AI, and VR

Dive into the thrilling world of modern computing and engineering technologies. Participants will enjoy hands-on activities and interactive sessions focused on robotics, AI, and VR/AR.

Learning Outcomes:

• • Understand the basics of C-programming and its application in mobile robotics.
• • Gain practical experience in building and racing mobile robots.
• • Learn the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and how AI powers robotics.
• • Explore the fascinating worlds of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
• • Develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through interactive and collaborative activities.

Throughout the four days, you will have the chance to explore these diverse fields, gaining hands-on experience and learning from industry professionals. By the end of the camp, you will have developed new skills, made new friends, and discovered potential career paths in technology, business, and media.
